The Tasmanian Branch committee regretfully advises that due to the COVID-19 pandemic all Branch and Regional events, at least until the end of June 2020, have been cancelled or postponed.  The situation will be continually monitored with extensions beyond June likely.

 


Sunday 16th February 2020. The Annual General Meeting for the Tasmanian Branch will be at Campbell Town commencing at 11.00 am.  Guest speaker will be Dr George Merridew AM with a presentation on “The Geneva Conventions: Protecting military medical personnel.”

Following the Investiture at Government House for the Australia Day honours awards the Branch has a dinner to congratulate and welcome the new recipients who, along with Branch members, are invited to make up tables with their family and friends.  When further details are known including the date of the Investiture they will be added here.

Southern Region Calendar

Wednesday, 20th November- 10:00 am. Members and guests of the Southern Region are invited to a special tour of COMA (Collection of Medical Artefacts), a collection of over 3000 medical artefacts showing the progress of health and patient experience from convict times to today.  This impressive collection has been made possible through the efforts of Dr Philip Thomson who will host the tour for our Association.  RSVP essential by Monday 18th November, full details in the flyer. Wednesday, 13th November– 10:00 am Regional Members’ Meeting at Mathers House, 108 Bathurst Street, Hobart, includes guest speaker and morning tea.

 

North Western Region Calendar

Sunday 15th March 2020.  Luncheon at the Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens. Our Guest of Honour will be Her Excellency, the Honourable Professor Kate Warner AC, the Governor of Tasmania accompanied by Mr Richard Warner AM.

Thursday February 6th at 11.00 a.m. the N W Group of the Order of Australia Association will be holding its Annual General Meeting at the Ulverstone RSL Club. Lunch will be available after the meeting.
