The Order of Australia Association (Queensland Branch)
PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ CITIZENSHIP AWARDS 2010
The Order of Australia Association recognises that many schools catering for students of primary school age in Queensland, including special schools, are undertaking many exciting and interesting activities, services and projects that promote a commitment to, and pride in, Australian citizenship.
This Award, in its fourth year of operation is a new initiative of the Order of Australia Association (Queensland Branch). It recognises the many activities and projects undertaken by students of primary age in schools contribute significantly to the development of the Australian ethos and culture.
Twelve School Citizenship Awards will be offered to schools this year focusing around themes of:
- fostering commitment to and pride in Australia’s citizenship
- encouraging awareness of Australia’s history, traditions and culture
- promoting a constructive and positive sense of national unity
